Steak was delish but for a romantic evening I found the tables too close together. We were put in a tiny room right at the back of the restaurant, all the tables were full and on top of each other! Even though we passed dozens of empty tables on the way in and out without reservation signs. No clue why we were all stuck in the back. Will try another branch and hope the food is as tasty but the tables are more spread out.
Visit here quite regular and the food is always spot on. Nice and clean with friendly, well mannered staff. Highly recommend the scallop starter.
I ordered seabass which I really enjoyed however I was very disappointed with the small puddle of crushed new potatoes and vegetables. I was expecting some lovely seasonal veg and what i got looked like it had come out of a baby jar. The pub itself was lovely and the staff really friendly. Unfortunately I was still hungry after my meal When will restaurants stop scrimping on the veg and salad , my favourite part of the meal and also the cheapest and a big part of the presentation .
OK for a lunch but food could be a bit hotter. Halfway through my food had gone cold and I don't eat slowly. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Car parking is free but very busy.
Really loved the place. The ambience and staff were good. The food was really lovely enjoyed it. The only thing I could raise an issue with was the portion sizes. When will restaurants etc learn that they should not cheap on the basics of vegetables/salad etc. Other than that excellent.
